Three days will allow to see the highlights in Dhaka, but allowing an extra day or two will give you flexibility if you get stuck in a Bangladesh traffic jam or just want to take some time to soak it all in. 


November to May is a good time to visit. November marks the beginning of the dry season, with winter soon following. 


Start your holiday at Ahsan Manzil, the palatial National Museum of Bangladesh, to learn about the fascinating history and culture of this beautiful country. Then check out the sights of Dhaka - the Lalbagh Fort, Tara Masjid (or Star Mosque), and the Dhakeshwari Temple are well worth a visit. Stop in at the National Parliament House.

Rideshare and rickshaws are plentiful around Dhaka. Auto-rickshaws and buses run the main road routes. If you are travelling outside of Dhaka, buses, trains and private transport are good options. 


Long, loose clothing, comfortable sandals, and a light jacket for the cooler evenings. 


Stay in Old Dhaka, where many of the city sights are located. Transport around the city is cheap and easy, so you’re never far from the action.
