Top Beaches in Seychelles

The exotic Indian Ocean island of Seychelles is home to some of the world’s most spectacular beaches, stunning coral reefs, mountain rainforests, endangered birdlife, rare animals and unique nature reserves.  All in all this country has so much to offer visitors to its shores. From zip-lining and rock climbing to lazing on its beaches, splashing around in the beautiful blue ocean lapping its shores to snorkelling and scuba diving, to hiking and haggling/bargain hunting in the capital’s bustling market – the islands certainly offer its visitors a wealth of experiences to enjoy.

Its world-famous beaches grace the pages of many travel and fashion magazines and websites and the expression “wish you were here” couldn’t hold truer. All the beaches however have their various pros and cons. Some are easily accessed from your beachside hotel, while others require something of a hike to get to or even to find!

Some have small lazy waves and are shallow and therefore child-friendly, while others are quite wild and are best suited to surfers. Some have stalls selling snacks and beverages, others are a bit lonely but are great fishing spots So it’s always best to find out from the locals manning your accommodation which of them suits your needs the most.

The beach you will most likely spend most of your time on will be pretty close, or even on the doorstep, of your accommodation, but, there are others spread around the islands that might be worth your while visiting. There are so many great beaches to visit and to satisfy your inner “beach bum” we list the best of the best (in no particular order of preference) below.
