Montego Bay Airport has a single main terminal with one check-in hall. It’s always a good idea to get to the airport nice and early for your flight, and to confirm check-in times directly with your airline as each may have different requirements. As a general guide, aim for at least three hours before international flights – especially during peak tourist season when the terminal can get seriously busy. Check-in counters generally close 60 minutes before departure. Remember, it’s often possible to check in online in advance via your airline’s website or app – a lekker way to save time on the day of travel.
Baggage allowances vary by airline and ticket class, so it’s important to confirm what’s included with your flight booking to avoid any surprises at bag drop! For more specific information on baggage limits, such as the size, weight and number of bags included in your airfare, check with your airline or ask your Travel Expert for assistance. Montego Bay’s famous “Red Cap” porters are on hand 24/7 to help with your bags at a fixed rate of US$1 per bag – and a tip for great service is always appreciated. Free luggage trolleys are also available, and a cloakroom baggage storage service operates in the arrivals area.
There are a range of facilities available at Montego Bay Airport for your convenience and use before or after your flight.
