Local bus Route 2 runs between the airport and downtown Puerto Vallarta – a proper budget-friendly way to get into town. ADO long-distance buses also connect the airport to nearby cities.

With 24 airlines serving 57 destinations, PVR is one of Mexico’s busiest resort airports.

While there are no hotels or dedicated sleeping facilities within the terminal, there are plenty of hotels located very close to the airport. Given that downtown Puerto Vallarta is just a short ride away, heading into town for a few hours between flights is always an option – and honestly, a sunset on the Malécon is hard to beat.
