Birmingham Airport (BHX)

Flights to Birmingham

About Birmingham Airport (BHX)

Birmingham Airport (BHX) is one of the UK’s busiest regional airports and has served as an important international hub for the West Midlands since its opening in 1939 (back then it was known as Elmdon Airport). Birmingham Airport operates out of a single terminal and facilitates direct flights to a network of approximately 140 destinations across the UK, Europe and beyond. The Art Deco-inspired terminal building is a Grade II listed historic site, and Birmingham Airport is also famous for operating the world’s first commercial maglev (magnetic levitation) train from the airport to the nearby railway station in 1984.
