Atlanta Airport (ATL)

Flights to Atlanta

About Atlanta Airport (ATL)

Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, or Atlanta Airport (ATL) for short, welcomes over 100 million passengers every single year and consistently takes out the title of the world’s busiest airport! Located roughly 17km south of Downtown Atlanta, the airport serves as Georgia’s primary international gateway and operates a network of connecting and direct flights to over 160 domestic and 80 international destinations across North, South and Central America, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Africa. Atlanta Airport has two main terminals (a Domestic Terminal and an International Terminal) and runs the Plane Train service for travellers needing to transfer between the two. Fun fact: the Plane Train is an underground, automated loop that transports over 200,000 passengers daily – that's almost half of the entire population of Atlanta!

The MARTA airport station is located between the North and South baggage claims in the Domestic Terminal, and the Red and Gold lines run frequently from Atlanta Airport to popular destinations like Downtown Atlanta, Midtown and Buckhead. See the MARTA website for up-to-date information on timetables and fares.

Need to transfer between the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal at Atlanta Airport?
