Ah, London! A hub for business and holiday travellers. Whether you are dropping by to attend a conference, tie up a business deal, go sightseeing or jumpstart a trip around Europe, you can rest assured that British-based Virgin Atlantic understands that its passengers have very specific and different travelling needs.

We love booking direct flights and we know that you love flying direct.  On Virgin there is a variety of offerings and we can create a tailor-made experience for you.

Let us delve a little deeper into your options.

Firstly, their aircraft, as with most airlines, has a three-cabin configuration. There is an Upper-Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class.

This is where it gets interesting, though. Their Economy is now split into three types of bookings: Economy Light, Economy Classic and Economy Delight - depending on your budget, baggage and legroom requirements.

It's also good to know that Virgin Atlantic has three operating bases: London Gatwick Airport, London Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport.

Economy:

Economy class is an excellent value service.

All Economy services include scrumptious light, healthy dishes, drinks (including soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits), entertainment and friendly personal service.

Mile High Tea or breakfast is served later in the flight so that you never arrive on an empty stomach.

Virgin Atlantic's Economy Classic air ticket includes a 23kg baggage allowance, plus hand luggage and free seat selection.

However, if you would prefer to speed through the airport you can book an Economy Delight ticket and use Premium check-in desks and priority boarding. Not only do you get first dibs on overhead storage, but you get extra legroom, too.

If you are a light traveller, you can choose Economy Light, and still experience everything you would expect on a great flight at an even lower cost.

All classes include hours of entertainment. Or you can stay connected and power up your devices in your seat. Many of their seats also feature 110V AC sockets to charge bigger devices such as laptops.

Premium:

Virgin Atlantic’s Premium (Proud winner of the Skytrax "World’s Best Premium cabin" award) offers little touches here and there such as a few extra inches of space and a glass of bubbly as you board.

A dedicated check-in and bag drop will fast-track your airport experience.

The meals complement your departure time, origin and destination and are served on designer linens and china crockery with proper cutlery.

Meals begin with a tasty antipasto and you choose your main course from a selection of three dishes (including vegetarian), to enjoy with a glass of red or white wine and pudding for after.

Kids' meals can be pre-arranged or ordered onboard from the menu designed for 2-12 year olds. It includes a variety of familiar favourites to tickle the taste buds of even the fussiest child.

There is also a range of specific menus, perhaps for medical or religious purposes, you can also select from. If you're feeling peckish during the flight just visit the onboard Wander Wall full of sweet and savoury treats!

On night flights, a Premium amenity kit contains all the essentials that you'll need.

Upper Class:

Have you ever been on a long-haul flight and wanted to move around or hang out with a fellow traveller away from your seat? As an Upper-Class Virgin Atlantic passenger, there are several social spaces where you can do just that! The Booth is a cosy luxurious corner for two, designed with elegant, tactile finishes such as Scottish leather seats and a pressed wool effect table.

It is perfect for a wine tasting, a romantic dinner or a nightcap.

The Loft is Virgin Atlantic's exclusive lounge in the sky. It is perfect to gather, chat, have a meeting or stretch out with a coffee.

At The Bar, the drinks, fruits and snacks are all complimentary.

You can choose from a four-course menu which includes a selection of starters, mains, desserts and a cheese and biscuits course served with port.

At the front of the Upper-Class cabin, you can find two of Virgin Atlantic's most spacious suites - The Retreat Suites. Each one has an ottoman that doubles up as an extra seat. Up to four people can settle in comfort to watch a movie on the 27" touchscreen or enjoy a private dinner in their own intimate space.

Of course, you can get that Upper-Class feeling even before you board by spending time in The Clubhouse, or partner lounges, worldwide. They have something for everyone. There is fine dining, a deli bar and breakfast options. The original Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse and Revivals Lounge at London Heathrow is a favourite. It is easy to see why - it's more like a five-star hotel than an airport lounge.

The new Clubhouse Retreat area is a perfect spot to meditate and have some quiet time before your flight. You can even have a quick workout on a Peloton bike (with a fabulous runway view) and have a lovely shower afterwards.

Upper-Class passengers have access to a chauffeur transfer service.

Upper-Class seats are designed so that you have your personal space. The seat transforms into a fully flat bed, with crisp cotton pillows and a duvet. There is plenty of room to stretch out, store your personal belongings and charge electronic devices.

With Virgin Atlantic's Flying and Virgin Red reward clubs, you can earn points whenever you fly with them or any of their airline partners to enjoy exclusive benefits as you move up tiers or use them for flights, upgrades and more!
