Qatar Airways - A World of Unrivalled Luxury

Qatar Airways boasts that it has one of the most innovative and modern fleets in the world (more than 200 aircraft, eight of them Airbus A380s and many designated as "family" aircraft), and rightly so. Since it was established by the government of Qatar in late 1993 it has received many awards and has most recently been acclaimed yet again as the world's number-one airline.

Voted as having the world's best business class by the Skytrax World Airline Awards in 2022.

Frequent fliers have furthermore rated the airline’s spacious and comfortable seating, delicious cuisine, and extensive entertainment options as amongst the very best in in-flight experiences, which emphasises Qatar’s claims that being aboard one of the flying onyxes (the onyx, the national animal of Qatar, is the company’s logo) aircraft is a truly remarkable experience.

Enjoy the most memorable flying experience in the world by flying Qatar Airlines! Passengers have economy, business and first-class options from which to choose.

Economy class

First off, Qatar Airways' economy class was named best in the world in the 2009 and 2010 Skytrax Awards. It comfortable seats can reline into relaxing sit-sleep position and leg room is generous. Apart from some Airbus A320 family aircraft, all aircraft have personal seat-back infotainment screens.  Some Airbus A320 family aircraft are fitted with main-screen entertainment.  There are literally thousands of entertainment options available.  Unlike many other airlines, Qatar Airways provides its economy-class passengers with complimentary amenity products. Its meals are rated as "fine dining", snacks and beverages are supplied on demand and onboard Wi-Fi is the order of the day.

Business class

Qatar Airways offers the business class passenger seats that totally recline into fully flat horizontal beds with direct aisle access. On some aircraft, these beds come with massage functions.

In March 2017, Qatar Airways revealed a new business class cabin, dubbed the "Qsuite” which is available only on selected flights. These suites comprise either a single seat on the window sides, the middle section suites can be converted into a quad room (refer* below), allowing four passengers to face each other, and, additionally, there are select “couple” seat pairs in the middle section can be converted into a double bed, uniquely offering a product like what other airlines offer in First Class.

The quad room is basically a private space adaptable to your and your companion's requirements. Whether travelling with family, friends or business colleagues, moveable panels will allow you to transform your space into a social area, allowing you to work, dine or socialise. When you wish to relax or sleep, the cabin crew transforms your space back into your own private room for the ultimate in privacy and comfort.  It is business class like never before.)

Qatar Airways makes complimentary amenity products available to its business class passengers. Its meals are rated as fine dining, snacks and beverages are supplied on demand and onboard Wi-Fi is freely available.

First class

First class is only available on the Airbus A380s. First-class passengers on the Airbus A380s get generous leg room (over 6.5 feet/200cm) and seats that fold into flat beds with feather duvets.  All seats have massage functions, a large 26-inch television screen and a huge selection of entertainment options.

Lounges

Qatar Airways doesn’t stint when it comes to its on-ground passenger facilities either. Offering surroundings that rival those of any five-star hotel, Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge for example redefines the world standard in airport lounge experiences. From the moment of entering the visitor is greeted by a resort-like ambience, tantalising à la carte and buffet dining, and unparalleled hospitality.  Many lounges are equipped with comfy seats, free snacks and an assorted selection of alcoholic drinks, spirits and liquors. Doha Airport lounges are open to all passengers at a reduced cost no matter with which airline they are flying. The lounges generally offer buffet meals, snacks, unlimited drinks, Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and shower facilities.

Stopover

All travellers experience stopovers at airports at one time or another. Qatar is no different.  Depending of course on how long the stopover may be a traveller may be somewhat pressed for time, so it is worthwhile spending that time in one of the lounges.  If the stopover stretches into anything longer, there is nothing more fun for a visitor than to go on a desert safari where dune bashing and camel riding await the intrepid tourist. Otherwise, Doha has great museums to entice history buffs and great shopping at the souqs and malls for shopaholics. A leisurely stroll along the Corniche will allow the visitor to absorb some wonderful sights, especially the skyline, of Qatar's capital city.
