FlySafair boasts low flights by excluding the price of checked baggage - this is referred to as the ""lite"" option and still includes a free 7kg hand luggage allowance. Should you require to add a checked-in bag to your flight - you can do so by selecting this option at the booking stage for a small fee. In the case that your luggage is overweight, or you require baggage allowance at the airport, you will be charged R250 per piece.

The airport check-in process opens 2 hours prior to flight departure and closes 40 minutes before flight departure. Each passenger requires an Idenitity document, card or valid passport to complete their check in. Children and infant travelling require a certified copy of their birth certificate

Online check-in opens 24 hours prior to departure and closes 4 hours prior to flight departure. Go to FlySafair and login with your booking reference and surname to check in online. We do reccommend you check in online - this is a really simple process and saves you much needed time.

FlySafair seating configuration is 3-3, if you require more space, you are able to purchase Extra Leg-Room emergency exit seats and extra-Leg Room Seats at a sma cost of R70 per person. Book early to avoid disappointment as seats are limited, payment can only be done by credit card. If you don't require a pre-selected seat, you will be assigned a seat at check in.

FlySafair serves an array of light snacks and refreshments on board and payment can be made with cash during the flight. Unfortunately, Debit cards, credit cards, EFTs or cheques are not permitted.

Regrettably, FlySafair does not accommodate minors. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a passenger 16 years or older. Children over the age of 12 are permitted to fly alone.
