Kulula and BA Comair airport ground staff strike
TRAVEL ALERT: Kulula and BA Comair airport ground staff strike
Comair Airport Ground Staff, represented by the trade union United Association of South Africa
(UASA), will strike from 16h40 on Wednesday 13 April until a resolution to the current wage dispute
has been found. This strike will affect the airport services of Kulula and BA Comair at Cape Town,
Durban and Johannesburg airports.
Comair have advised that extensive contingency plans are in place in an effort to mitigate
disruptions and continue with daily operations. They are however advising passengers to check-in on
line where possible, or make use of the self-service kiosks at the airports and to drop bags at the bag
drop counter.
