Flight Centre Travel Group MD accepts the CEO SleepOut challenge
Andrew Stark, Managing Director of the Flight Centre Travel Group will be taking up the challenge of spending a cold night out on the Nelson Mandela Bridge this July as part of the The Sun International CEO SleepOut challenge.
When asked for his comments on what to expect from the evening he had this to say, "I’m looking forward to it! I think that walking a mile in someone else’s shoes is all part of what leadership does so I think this is a good starting point. What we’re also doing is that our company is doing a CEO Sympathy Sleepout on Friday night, in our own car park in Joburg, to try and get our own people involved.”
The beneficiaries of this year's CEO SleepOut are The Asha Trust, Columbia Leadership and the Steve Biko Foundation. These beneficiaries were carefully selected because of their commitment to long-term, educational solutions; upskilling early development crèche owners to educate numerous children in the future; working with community members to teach leadership skills to the youth; and engaging with young people about history, identity, integrity, respect and equality for all.
