Comair wins bid to keep flying
Comair won an interdict by the Pretoria High Court yesterday (May 17) that ensures the airline will continue operations.
“It’s business as usual. We are pleased as this interdict ensures operational certainty for the many thousands of travellers who fly with Comair” says ceo, Erik Venter.
Last week the airline applied for an emergency interim interdict to prevent the Air Services Licensing Council (ASLC) from suspending its domestic licence.
At a council meeting last week, the ASLC, which questioned Comair’s foreign ownership, found the airline to not be compliant with the Air Services Licensing Act.
