BA ups Cape Town flights, again
British Airways has added two more flights to its Cape Town summer schedule.
From January 1 to January 9 and February 3 to 27 February 27 2017, the airline will operate 16 weekly Boeing 747-400 flights between Cape Town and London.
“The capacity increase is in response to demand on the route, which in no small part is due to the excellent job that’s being done to market Cape Town and position it as a top international leisure destination,” says Edward Frost, British Airways commercial manager for South and East Africa.
In March the airline announced it would be adding three more flights from Gatwick to Cape Town commencing November 24.
The airline is also increasing capacity between Johannesburg and London from the end of October by expanding its existing daily A380 service to 10 a week, with the A380 replacing some of the existing Boeing 747-400 services, see TNW May 25 or click here.
