Premium Economy Class

Qantas is proud to announce the biggest enhancement since Skybed, new Premium Economy. Plus dedicated check-in, priority boarding and an increased baggage allowance to ensure customers can speed through the airport experience.

Economy Class

Qantas' ergonomically designed slimline Economy seat offer customers greater comfort with features including lumbar support and adjustable headrest wings for extra head and neck support. Throughout the second half of 2007, Qantas’ B747-400 International Economy cabins are being upgraded with a new colour scheme and Marc Newson designed seat fabrics, carpets and curtains.

QANTAS INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT All Qantas International B747-400 and A330 aircraft are fitted with an Audio and Video on Demand (AVOD) inflight entertainment system offering digital picture and sound quality and a choice of 60 movies, 200 television selections, destination guides, 150 CDs, 20 radio channels and 10 interactive games. The award-winning monthly inflight magazine, Qantas the Australian Way, is also available in the seat pocket on all Qantas domestic and international flights.

QANTAS FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAM The Qantas Frequent Flyer program is the largest Australia-based airline loyalty program, with around five million members. Members accumulate points by flying with Qantas as well as purchasing goods and services from more than 170 partners, including other airlines, more than 4,000 hotels worldwide, financial services organisations and major car rental companies. The program offers three membership levels above the entry Bronze level – Silver, Gold and Platinum. At each level, members receive extra benefits, including higher priority check-in, baggage allowances and, for Platinum and Gold members, complimentary Qantas Club entry. Eligible Frequent Flyer members also have access to oneworld alliance lounges. Each year, members redeem more than three million award flights. Members can also redeem points for hotel stays, car hire and purchases made through the Qantas Frequent Flyer Store.

QANTAS CLUBS AND LOUNGES Qantas Club members are welcome at over 250 lounges worldwide. Lifetime, one, two and four year memberships are available offering exclusive services and privileges such as priority baggage handling. Qantas Clubs and lounges are also open to all passengers holding a Qantas First or Business boarding pass on the day of their flight. In recent years, Qantas has redeveloped its domestic lounges in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Townsville. New domestic Business lounges will open in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in mid-2008. Qantas and British Airways opened a new joint International Business lounge in Singapore in 2006 and new First and Business lounges in Bangkok in 2007.
