South African Airways

South African Airways (SAA) can offer more flights and destinations in Africa than any other airline. With convenient code-share flight connections from New Zealand, SAA offers connecting flights from Sydney* and Perth to Johannesburg. Flying with SAA via Australia is the quickest route to Africa.

SAA has the youngest fleet of any carrier in Africa along with the most extensive network on offer in that continent. SAA is also a member of the Star Alliance and can offer mileage credit to a number of partner airline frequent flyer programmes. SAA operates the A340-600 and A340-200 aircraft on its 'long-haul' routes. On flights within Africa, SAA uses the A320 and B737 aircraft.
